March 2016 Updates

Hi all! March is here and I still have not touch any of my kits since my last build haha.. But anyway, I'll be going overseas to Taiwan with my friends (including my girlfriend haha..) after tomorrow and I heard that there's a Gundam Base store there, so I want to go there and check it out, and probably buy some kits, preferably IBO kits, there along the way haha.. I had a few plans to do some paint job for one or two of the kits to get me refreshed and able to work on my next entry for this year's GBWC.

Other than that, not much more to update. Will just enjoy my trip after tomorrow haha.. =)

February 2016 Updates!

Sorry for the long and quiet period of my blog for quite some time lol... I had been busy with my work, and I didn't have any kits to build lately. I had seen some 1/100 kits for the Iron-Blooded Orphans (IBO) series but was quite reluctant to buy any of them, only just placed ordered for the 1/100 Gundam Gusion few months back, before everyone realized that this kit was going to include the parts for Gundam Gusion Rebake, so lucky me haha... Definitely going to get the previous three 1/100 IBO kits and it's future upcoming 1/100 kits soon haha..

Darkness Mobile Suit project update. Progress still has been quite slow, but still managed to start work on cutting some parts out for spray painting.. After March I will be focusing on buying the metal parts for my kit and buy some spray paint probably in the month of April and May.. So I should still be on time for this year's GBWC lol..I promised myself to make this year's entry more better than last year's, so I need some motivation for it lol...

January 2016 Updates!

In case if you haven't noticed that I have no updates for December, it's ok lol.. I had no updates for December as I was only focusing on building the Destiny Gundam Heine Westenfluss kit.

So, first day of year 2016 and the second post of the year, I started building my Super Fumina kit finally which is my first post of 2016 lol.. And a few days back (last few days before the end of 2015) the Armed Armor VN & BS parts for PG Banshee has finally arrived! I will touch on that after concluding my Super Fumina build and it should be quite long, not the build time, but the possible usual of insanely lots of water slide decals to apply lol.. Trust me, the decal sheet seems way bigger the the PG Full Armor Unicorn parts lol..

Finally, on the updates for my DMS project, I have still yet to touch the kit what I wanted to work on, and I still drawing up my budget list to buy spray paints and stuffs. But definitely I can able to finish it by the time the next GBWC competition starts this year.

November Updates!

Hi all! November is here and how time flies by so fast, we are almost at the end of Year 2015 lol.. As we all already know, Gunpla Expo and GBWC 2015 Singapore has come to an end 2 weeks ago. Lots of pics taken there, I attended the awards ceremony too but sadly I didn't win. But it's ok for me, as I didn't intend to win as I have said before lol.. So next year, I'm working on my next DMS project kit for GBWC 2016 and I will make improvements to it and make it more awesome than my current kit =)

Anyway, I had did a little spring cleaning on my kits and my other old works (that I used to have when I was young) today, and had them re-arrange nicely so that my two display cabinets and my house looks tidy and create more space in there lol...

October Updates!

Yay.. Finally I can actually post an update for this month early =D My new workplace so far is good, although can be quite a bit hectic but I'm still learning the ropes which is good too lol.. My exams is also coming round the corner too, most likely happening next month. But there might be a high chance that I might drop out of it, given that my GPA score isn't that delightful.. Not that I didn't care, I just couldn't juggle around most of the things that I really wanted to. Perhaps a short term upgrade course would be more suitable for me than a university degree..

Anyway, back to the main topic, which is Gundam of cos lol.. The newest Gundam series, the Iron Blooded Orphans has started airing on YouTube two weeks ago and I've watched both of the episodes they released and so far it is good, kinda more better than Gundam Reconguista in G, which I still totally no clue what the whole story is about lol... But anyway, I would recommend watching it, but as for the kits, I'm still having some mixed feelings about it, but nevermind lol..

Gunpla Expo 2015 would be officially held from 28th October to 8th November 2015 at Serangoon Nex  shopping mall (below poster). Also along the way is the GBWC 2015 which I'm participating for the first time. Sheng Tai Toys, the distributer for Bandai's Gunpla products, has notified us contestants to go to Nex on the 27th October 2015 to setup our entries there. Like I said, I'm not there to win, just to gain some experience and learn from it lol.. so excited about this event lol...

That's all for this month. Next few months I would be expecting HG Super Fumina and PG Banshee Armed Armor VN & BS parts (around November maybe) and Metal Build Strike Freedom which is in December to end it off for year 2015 lol..

September Blog Updates

Here we are with another updates for this month =)

Well, to start off, I had move on with my job and taken on a new job role (same company), so I was busy with the handover / takeover last week after I came back from my NS reservist 2 weeks ago. And now this week I'm in the midst of adapting to my new work environment which is quite challenging but I gladly take it on lol... So I may be semi-inactive on building my kits, Not quitting, just being slowed down on the building lol...

Next thing, next upcoming kit (after Shin Musha Gundam kit) I'm still waiting for the PG Banshee Norn. And I might consider getting the Armed Armor VN and BS parts, which unfortunately it's a P-Bandai thing, but probably just wait when HAG/HAW open for pre-order... It shouldn't be expensive than the Unicorn's Full Armor set I hope. And lastly, I'm also hoping to get the MG Amazing Red Warrior, which I cancelled the order from HLJ last month due to my budget constraints.

Lastly, my kit got shortlisted for this year GBWC! So currently I'm still waiting for more info from the distributor Sheng Tai Toys on when and where GBWC is held, but most likely it would be together with the upcoming Gunpla Expo as well. More pics to take too lol.. My Darkness Mobile Suit project is currently on hold for now, also due to budget constraints lol...

August Updates!

Hi all! Sorry for not updating, especially for last month July =( I was busy with my National Day Parade rehearsals on the weekends and back to playing online games with my friends again and also back to school lol, hence there's very few updates for month of July. Anyway, I'm skipping July updates as there's not much things to cover, just only completed the RG Wing Zero and MG Wing Gundam Rinascita kits. Not much news on the GBWC either as I'm still waiting for confirmation mail from Sheng Tai Toys (distributer or supplier, I dunno...) and I highly doubt that I can take part this year as Singapore's GBWC dates could clash with my NS reservist which I'm very worried of. If it really comes to this situation, I just hope I can still take part while in reservist. If not, I might have to withdraw my submission and wait for next year's GBWC =( But then again, by the time next year's GBWC is being prepared, I could work on another kit which is also going to be a DMS project kit.

That aside, there's also not much things to highlight for this month, except for the release of MG Amazing Red Warrior and the SD Kurenai Musha Amazing, which both of them were from the Gundam Build Fighters Try series. September next month would be a rather more of a happening month, as I await for the PG Unicorn Banshee Norn and I'm planning to buy another display cabinet again lol... So I would be looking forward to September and probably I would have more to update in this blog lol..

June Updates

June was a great month for me to relax a bit from work (as it's school holidays at my workplace lol) and as everyone is aware by now, Gundam Docks at Singapore event has been ongoing for the entire month of June and will be ending on the 28th June 2015 which is this Sunday. I have been there like four times to see all the kits on display, taking pics of them, and also see the promotion price of the kits that had their price cut down low lol.. Tomorrow I will be going there again one last time to get something cheap hopefully lol...

Some latest news that I had seen, and that surprised me that it caught me off guard lol.. Ok first off Bandai made an surprise announcement that they will be producing the PG Unicorn Banshee Norn which will be releasing in September this year. This news probably caught many people by surprise, given that PG Unicorn release was barely a year, and boom.. out comes this, and it's not even P-Bandai best of all lol...

Next up is the Metal Build Strike Freedom that which is somewhat expected, but didn't fully expected it to be a real stuff lol.. So far Hobby Art and GG Infinite had opened the pre-order for this. Really something to look forward in December 2015, I can finally do a battle pose together with my Metal Build Destiny lol...

And now for my DMS project for GBWC 2015 competition status. So far my Dark Emperor Stein as said in my other blog post, the kit is already complete, what I'm left to do now is to do a simple decorations and fix a pose for it. I'm intending to use the 31x31x46 (all in cm) display case base to limit the size and work on it based on the base size it has. It should be more than enough. Once this is done, I will be taking a couple of pictures, let my friend to some photo editing and then submit them along with my registration for the GBWC competition. So I won't be spray painting any new kit anytime soon as I need to recover my financial back first lol.. But I did had plans to spray paint my next kit, which is Hi-Nu Ver Ka and it's HWS. I have the kits, but not enough spray paint right now. So have to wait lol...

Anyway, that's all for this month, I will be back to work and studying again lol..

Gundam Docks at Singapore 2015 (Day 1)

Another Gunpla event at Takashimaya! =D This time it's special, because the Gunpla mechanics designer Kunio Okawara, designed the RX-78 Gundam SG50 version to commemorate to Singapore's 50 years of nation building!

May Blog Updates!

Finally some free time to post up some updates lol... As usual I'm busy with work, exams are over and I'm currently volunteering for the marching contingent training for National Day Parade which I would be occupied for all the Saturdays till 9th August 2015. Anyway, personal life aside, as you know it I had just completed applying the decals for my PG Unicorn Full Armor parts kit and will be in the midst of applying top coating. I would be using the gloss coat this time round for this as I had lots of those that I had not use so I might as well use it all up. Probably I could able to finish it by this Sunday and do the assembly next week or something.

Next, it's been quite a long time since I had any hauls from HLJ lol.. this month I got some sizable stuffs, two kits for my DMS project, and 4 HG kits. Here they are lol...

Yup.. these four cute little bears and those two DMS project kits lol.. I also gotten myself another RG kit from HAW which is this,

I always wanted to get it, but it's either not enough budget or no stock lol.. But I managed to get it at discounted price so it's all good lol... And up next on the next future release I'm waiting for this,

MGGundam Fenice Rinascita kit from Gundam Build Fighters releasing next month in June 2015 lol.. There's also another kit also from GBF (Season 2) is the MG Amazing Red Warrior. No box art yet as it was only being recently revealed, but I will wait and see on that lol.. And last but not least, a Metal Build Strike Freedom has been announced! I was excited about this one as in my previous post (probably somewhere in some groups) I mentioned that it would be great for Bandai to make a Metal Build SF to go along with it's Metal Build Destiny. Another great battle scene lol... Alright that's enough of all news and stuffs and back to my updates lol..

Lastly for my DMS project, I would be starting work on the Sinanju first, and this would be my competition entry for GBWC 2015. And the name for it? I will update my old post which I believe it has already been buried deep in my bunch of old posts lol.. As I said probably a few times already, I'm entering the competition just to get some exposure, experience and the fun of it. I'm not really serious about winning but still will put in lots of effort in my build no matter what. Winning or losing to me is just secondary objective. If I really win, well good for me lol.. If not, better luck next time lol..

April Updates!

1 month passed by so fast, and I once again apologise for my late updating, again =.='''

Anyway, some updates. As you have seen my previous post that I did a custom paint job on SD Winning Gundam as part of the DMS project. Apart that I temporary break away from the MG kits that I usually do my paint job on, this one is to put my painting skills on a crash test (very quick test) and I also introduced the use of masking tape to paint certain parts a different color on the same piece. While the outcome for my first try is not so bad, I think I might have made certain pieces sharper points or some minor out of range due to my poor masking technique. Anyway, I had fun learning new stuffs, so I would try to work on that when I had the chance.

As I'm still busy with my studies (exams is coming), my next upcoming DMS project would involves the Hi-Nu and it's HWS pack. More money to spent on paints again lol... and as for my GBWC entry, I decided to change my entry kit to one of my DMS project kit as my competition entry as it's more safer than my initial kit (Too many experimental stuffs going on in that kit) but not to worry, the materials that I bought previously will still be used. And this DMS project kit involves another Emperor. I did said in my previous post that my DMS project will have two Emperors right? lol...

Anyway, I'm still waiting for the Puchigguy to be release in HLJ, and I finally made the decision to pre-order the PG Unicorn FA expansion. This one's going to be massive lol...

March Updates

Sorry for the late updates once again. I had been busy with my work and studies as always. But this month or rather this week, Singapore is mourning over the passing of our founding father Lee Kuan Yew. Although I had never met him in person, but through reading his books I felt like I had met him up close. I had went to Parliament House to paid my last respect to the great leader on the first day of the Lying in State which is on Wednesday. I will not emphasis on his achievements and visions on here again as the local news media had been talking about it for this entire week. But nonetheless, a salute to him from me, and from Sazabi.

Ok back to the main topic. As I had mentioned previously, my kit for my GBWC entry is still in progress but has been slowed due to shortage of spray paints (due to my budget restrains). But during this shortage season, I had gathered enough crafting materials to experiment on certain parts, like a stand to make certain parts as though they were flying, and scratch build a few items as well. Honestly speaking I had no experience in scratch building stuffs, so bear with me while I'm figuring this out myself through tutorials and advice lol...

Lastly, as most people would have know, that Bandai is now producing MG Wing Fenice Rinascita, the next master grade kit after Exia Dark Matter for GBF series. I might be getting this alongside with Exia Dark Matter (I had it originally, but I sold it to my friend who wanted it more).

Also these 4 cute Puchigguys would be coming out in May 2015 as well. It is fitting to buy all 4 of them as a set rather than buying one by one. Yes, they were sold separately at 500 Yen (at HLJ).

February Updates (Delayed >.<)

Sorry for the late updates! Had been busy with work, study, Chinese New Year, etc, etc... I hadn't build any straight assembled Gunpla recently. But I had bought the MG Exia Dark Matter for myself but my friend wanted it more than I do, so I sold it to him at friend price. I could always wait for another one when HAG/HAW got them, I'm not in a hurry anyway lol.. I did got the Aila Jyrkiäinen figurine so that's okay for me haha... I will take a few shots of her when I got time, perhaps maybe next week or so.

The reason why I didn't really intend to build any Gunpla kits so soon is that I'm currently working on my custom build PG Unicorn based on God Mobile Suit project, which is also the kit I'm intending to participate in this year's GBWC. Spray painting for this kit is gonna be tough, as I will be separating all the parts from runners and spray painting individually. So just for this project I will be doing them in Phases. So currently now the first phase, I'm cutting each pieces out from the runners (including the white armor), the next phase would be fixing in the metal pieces onto certain white armors, and the next phase would be spray painting 1 color for all parts at one time. In between I would be doing some experimentation on certain stuffs ranging from diorama (a simple one, don't expect too much from me lol) to the kit's poses. I should able to complete it on time before the competition starts, assuming no disruptions or delay. This is what I planned up to now, I will make up the rest of the phases as I go along lol..

During my busy schedule, I did a little cleaning up to my HMS and DMS page and combined them into one page that's called the "Mobile Suit Gundam Mythical Century (MC)". So this would be my fan-made timeline for my HMS, DMS and GMS kits. Story-wise I'm still writing and would be updated once I added more kits to the DMS project to work on (After when I'm done with the PG Unicorn custom build that is lol...). January 2015 Blog Updates!

Yes I know it's been quite some time already... January 2015 was a hectic month at work, and my part-time degree study had resumed on Monday (and will be going on for the next 11 more Mondays lol...) and I'm still in the state of recovering from my own little financial "crisis" so I have not been building anything for so long, and no time to update my blog too lol...

Anyway, I'm still wanting to build some Gunpla kits and I was waiting for Bandai's next upcoming MG kit for Gundam Build Fighters series. Here's a boxart I got from Gundam Guy's blog,

Yup... That's what coming up for next month February lol... I'm so looking forward to build this. Probably re-using the Exia's runners, all others like the backpack and it's swords were new molds. And this is kinda also my source of inspiration for my DMS project, which is still alive by the way haha...

Speaking of my DMS project, I really should head down to buy spray paints already... I'm hoping to get the colors I wanted by this week... My Dark Unicorn Emperor parts were all ready to be spray painted lol... I'm setting a benchmark to test out the color combinations on this kit, so if I'm satisfied with the outcome, I will use it regularly on my next upcoming kits that are under the DMS project.

Lastly, I know I had said previously that my Holy Unicorn Emperor would be the last kit for the HMS project, but after building the PG Unicorn it had me thinking over it that I should build PG Unicorn again and will be build under the HMS project. As to whether if I want to get another LED set and how to make the psychoframe parts to be clear gold and whatnot, is still under planning and would be experimenting when I can get another one if my finicial budget allows me to.

So yeah, that's about it for this month's updates. I will update again on the next month!

December Updates!

Last month of the year... then it would be a brand new year for 2015 haha... I have more spare time to build Gunplas now, but problem now is I have nothing to build!!!! Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.....!!!!!! I was actually wanting to get the PG Unicorn and build it during this spare time but HAW said that the stocks would be coming in by end of this month. Did I hear wrongly? End of this month?!?!??!!

I should have pre-ordered them from HLJ, should have paid for it last Friday and have it ship out immediately EMS, and should have gotten it either since 2 days ago or the latest is today! Even GG Inifinite had gotten their stocks in more earlier too. What kind of logic is this =.=?

Ok end of my little rant (I had to vent it out) but I'm hoping that their stocks won't come in exactly on the end of the month but maybe a week before end of the year at least? So my time is kind of wasted, and I had to find alternative things to do for now... Even if it did arrive on the end of the month, I don't even know if I got the time again to build it as I'm resuming my part-time degree studies again next year, and school re-opening (my workplace) would be busy too, with all the new students coming in and all...

As I only have enough budget to get the PG Unicorn, so I'm not able to get any spray paints for the time being too so my DMS project had to be put on hold again... My 3-color rule for DMS has already been confirmed so I'm just waiting to get the spray paint and I can get to work on my Dark Unicorn Emperor some time around next year February I hope...

All that aside, if anyone could recall my recent blog post of my Beargguy F Family and Nightingale, A fellow Gunpla builder suggested to me that I should add speech bubbles to my kits. Actually it was my Beargguy F Family poses that I made that got this idea started and then followed by Nightingale. So I did a bit of work on the pics using Gimp and here's the end result.

November Blog Updates

Another quiet month has passed, and I have no Gunplas to build (or can't start building one due to lack of stuffs) currently. Though I have interest in getting Nightingale and still wanna start work on my Darkness Mobile Suit Project Kits, but I really wanted to secure the PG Unicorn first before buying anything else, so yeah lol...

But anyway for the past few days I had been playing around with Gimp (a free image editing software) editing some of my Holy Mobile Suit kit pictures.

October Updates

As you can see now that I have really slowed down on my Gunpla building which had already started since last month. I'm still in the midst of financial recovery (which I'm still able to survive lol..) and I'm still will be buying something over the next few months but not that much. I will be focusing on my new project, the Darkness Mobile Suit project, starting with the DMS-01 Dark Unicorn Emperor. Now this, as I mentioned it in my other blog post, is a whole new different Unicorn which I will be using the Banshee as the based without the Armed Armor XC and DE parts. I can still make something good out of it and will be giving it another Beam Javelin which I taken from my FA Unicorn.

DMS project aside, I'm quite excited for the release of PG Unicorn. I have placed order for this at HAW for the full set. That's right, the PG Unicorn and it's light set. Another item that cost a bomb like the Neo Zeong, but it's kinda worth it because it's PG lol... And I'm still wanting to get the Hi-Nu Ver KA and the Nightingale if my financial bedget allows, but most likely will not happen till next year, as I needed money for all these upcoming stuffs and not to mention that I needed to pay for my course fees for my next semester study lol...

Anyway, that's about it for now. I will update again next month lol...

September Updates

How time flies so quickly lol...

Side-tracked a bit, I managed to secured an iPhone 6 Plus!!! Will be collecting on this Saturday at Marina Bay Sands Convention Center XD

Back on track, I can't buy any Gunpla for the time being till end of next month. As much as I wanted to get the Hi-Nu Ver Ka and Nightingale, but I had to take things slowly now.. And I'm still stuck on my Holy Unicorn Emperor build at the moment due to shortage of spray paint colors I needed, but that would be resolved quickly once I'm able to get more spray paint next week.

All that aside, my AGP MS Girl Banshee is currently on the way now... estimating about 2 weeks later I would be able to receive it.. and as for HLJ, I do wanted to wait for the SD Command Gundam but it's still showing backordered status.. If it's still not ready by next week, I will ship out whatever I have in my private warehouse and wait patiently on my next few orders in the next 3 months lol...
